While some wonder why kids should be encouraged to have imaginative play others realize just how beneficial it is. This type of play encourages a child to make up their own rules, regulate themselves and when others cooperate with the group. These are important skills that are being lost to electronic beeping toys that are very regulated in how they are played. Parents should encourage imaginative play with puppet theaters, dolls and other such toys.

Teaching Children About Money With Educational Toys

It seems like many of the kids today are losing touch with money and this is leading to all kinds of problems as they grow up. Our culture is getting to where more often than not credit or debit cards are being used to pay for things while electronic bill pay is taking care of the credit card bills. Children never see their parents pay for anything or balance a checkbook. Many experts feel this is why so many kids grow up to overspend. Educational toys such as Monopoly can be played to help parents teach their children about money and that you must make it before you can spend it.
